Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 a.k.a 310 going for Rs. 20,000 online

Back at MWC 2012, Samsung announced a slew of new tablets that would be launched in the coming month. The list included the successor to the Galaxy Tab 750, 620 and a bigger version of the Galaxy Note phone/tablet. Out of these, it seems like the smallest of the lot, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has already started selling across online stores in India at a very competitive price of Rs.19,900. Buytheprice.com is one such site that’s selling this tablet right now for this price. It’s also reported that Samsung will be officially launching the tablet by the end of this month for an MRP of Rs.24,000.
On the face of it, it doesn’t really seem like a big upgrade from the existing Tab Plus of Tab 620, but take a closer look and you’ll notice some very notable improvements. Starting with the big one, the tablet will come pre-installed with Android 4.0, along with Samsung’s Touchwiz UX UI running on top. Samsung have ditched their Exynos SoC and will now feature one from Ti OMAP. This dual-core SoC will pack in a PowerVR SGX540 graphics chip and the same 3.15MP camera is now capable of 1080p recording. One more addition to the list is GLONASS GPS system, which makes this more than just an OS update. The most exciting bit about this tablet, however, is its pricing. The original Tab 620 launched in India for about Rs. 26,000 and we felt it was a good buy, but the new one seems like an even better deal as Samsung has not stripped down the features but instead have added more to it, while still managing to reduce the price.

Here are some of the specifications of the tablet:
 1.> 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution
2.> 3G, EDGE/GPRS and Wi-Fi capabilities for net access
3.> GPS, GLONASS with A-GPS support for Google Maps
4.> Bluetooth with A2DP and USB 2.0 (Micro)
5.> 3MP camera with LED flash and secondary camera up front
6.> FM radio 8.> 8/16/32GB internal + microSD card support for up to 32GB more memory
