The Optimus Net is a dual standby dual SIM, Android smartphone. It features Smart & Share, a wireless content sharing app that uses DLNA and is equipped with LG social+, a single window multi-social communication interface. The Net runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It is powered by an MSM 7227 turbo processor and has a 3 MP rear camera. The 11.7 mm thin device has an 8.1cm (3.2-inch) HVGA capacitive touch display and has a 1500mAh battery under the hood.

Here are the available specifications of the LG P698:

The LG Optimus Net is priced at Rs.13,250 on the site, which means that it’s in a similar price bracket as the HTC ChaCha, the Galaxy Ace and the recently launched Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, that we have just reviewed. We also reviewed the other Optimus Net (P690), which we were not overly impressed with. This new one seems to have a similar spec sheet with the only mentionable difference being that this one is a dual SIM phone and the other is not. Besides that, they pretty much match up against each other. Now, the latest price of the P690 is Rs.9,623, while that of the P698 is around 3.5k more. The only extra benefit you get is another SIM. Would you go for the dual SIM Optimus Net or the SE Live with Walkman, which is a grand expensive, but has a comparatively better spec sheet? What do you guys think?
