Nokia Lumia 710 coming to India shortly.

All the talk these days is about Nokia making their major comeback in the smartphone genre. The brand does not seem to be in any mood to let their competition get in the way. Things are a bit hazy, though as to when the slightly lower end handset, the Lumia 710 would be making an appearance. Nokia has cleared the air regarding this and Nokia fans out there can rejoice with the news that India will be one of the first few countries to receive the Lumia 710 within the next few days.


According to a post by Nokia, the handset will be priced at 270 Euros, which is approximately Rs.18,755. We can expect the upcoming handset to be priced in India at the Rs.20,000 mark, though keeping in mind taxes, et al. Though the Lumia 710 is not Nokia’s flagship handset, it does boast of some pretty impressive specifications that can certainly compete with many of the other handsets in the market, which are similarly priced. It will feature Windows Phone 7.5 Mango and a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

The other highlighted specifications of the handset include:

1.> 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution under Gorilla glass
2.> Nokia’s Clear Black Display technology
3.> 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi
4.> GPS with A-GPS support for Bing Maps
5.> Bluetooth with A2DP + EDR, USB 2.0
6.> 5MP AF camera with LED flash and 720p video recording
7.> FM radio
8.> 8GB internal storage
9.> Active Noise Cancellation
